Magical shoes
I sit in my child's room and look at what is left of this tragic day. A bed poorly made, pajamas left on the floor, homework halfway done on the desk and toys everywhere. A day started like every other day with hopes, dreams and promises to be kept, but by the end … never to be finished, never to be fulfilled.
I look around some more in my child's room and I see a pair of shoes. The pair of Magical Shoes that my child fell in love with in the store and in the end I had to buy. My child made promises, to learn to tie the shoelaces and to take care of them.
